On 1 October 2026 Shopify added annotations to supported time-series reports. You attach a title, a description, a date or a date range, and a type, using Shopify's categories or your own. Notes are shared with staff who have Reports permission and sit beside context Shopify and apps already attach. The chart still does not explain itself. Someone has to write the note.
