What actually happened
Unified.to’s September product update, published 2 October 2026, says it shipped more than 100 free SKILL.md files. Two kinds. Use-case skills cover a quick start plus jobs such as CRM, accounting, payments, commerce, HR, messaging, and webhooks. OAuth2 skills cover 80 vendor portals, plus five shared bases for Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, Zoho, and Meta. Named coverage includes Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify, and Slack.
Install is npx skills add https://docs.unified.to for Codex, Cursor, Copilot, and Windsurf. Claude Code gets a plugin that also adds the Core MCP server, and it needs Claude Code v2.1.224 or later. The skills are public whether or not you are a customer. Creating the Unified.to account still takes a person. The catalogue was 1,030 integrations at the end of September. That count is Unified.to’s.
The same update adds a Task object in the GenAI API, supported as of 1 October on nine agent products, including Cursor, Devin, Google Jules, and Anthropic Claude Agents. Task is a status and pull-request record. It is not the skill.
Why a small team cares
A solo consultant adding HubSpot to a client app still burns a day on the same path: read the docs, register OAuth, map fields, write the connector, hit an edge case. The skill is meant to put the portal steps and the Unified.to call shape in the agent’s context so that day starts further along.
Unified.to is explicit that these are instructions, not an automated registration. Brex is partner-gated. ServiceNow and Workday credentials live in the customer’s own tenant. Zendesk’s multi-account client is granted on request. A useful agent stops there. A bad one retries a form that will never return a client secret.
Hype vs useful
Useful if the skill gets you a branch with a real first API call and a clear stop at the human gate. Not useful as a claim that integration work is now free. Vendor portals change, app review still sits with a person, and the agent writes against Unified.to, not against HubSpot’s API directly. Measure one job. Do not adopt the whole catalogue.
