CheckoutControl
Terms of Service
These Terms govern a merchant’s installation and use of CheckoutControl, an embedded Shopify app provided by 8DIGITS.
Effective date: 17 July 202601Eligibility and authority
You must be able to form a binding agreement and be authorised to install and configure apps for the Shopify store you connect. You are responsible for everyone who uses the App through your store account.
02The service
CheckoutControl provides tools for configuring supported payment methods, delivery options and Cash on Delivery fee flows. Available features depend on Shopify’s APIs, the merchant’s plan, extension eligibility and the current documented product boundaries.
The App does not process payments, provide a payment gateway, calculate taxes, or guarantee that any particular method will be available in a given checkout.
03Merchant responsibilities
You are responsible for testing every rule before relying on it, keeping rule names and conditions accurate, maintaining a safe fallback, and complying with laws, Shopify terms and provider agreements that apply to your store.
You remain responsible for products, checkout disclosures, fulfilment, taxes, refunds, chargebacks and the consequences of your configured rules.
04Fees and billing
Paid charges are created and managed through Shopify Billing. 8DIGITS does not collect payment-card details. Fees are not prorated or refunded except where required by law or expressly agreed.
05Acceptable use
Do not misuse the App, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorised access, evade usage or billing controls, or use it to support unlawful, deceptive or harmful activity.
06Availability and changes
The App is provided on an as-available basis. Shopify, hosting providers and other dependencies can change or become unavailable. We may maintain, improve, suspend or discontinue features and will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
07Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App by uninstalling it. We may restrict access for material breach, security risk, abuse, non-payment or where required by law. Uninstalling triggers the App’s documented deletion workflow for active shop configuration and sessions.
08Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, CheckoutControl is provided without warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
Subject to mandatory law, 8DIGITS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost sales, loss of goodwill, or decisions made from untested or incorrectly configured rules.
09Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without removing any mandatory rights or venue protections that applicable law grants you.
